Job Description & Skills/Qualifications Required
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience as a welder in a manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial environment
- Competency in MIG welding (TIG and/or Stick welding an advantage)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and weld symbols
- Sound knowledge of welding procedures, techniques, and equipment
- Strong understanding of health and safety requirements in an industrial workplace
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Desirable Requirements
- Trade qualification such as Trade Certificate in Welding or equivalent
- Minimum 2–3 years’ hands‑on welding experience in a production or heavy engineering environment
- Experience working to quality standards or welding procedures
- Forklift, overhead crane, or other relevant site licences
