Aertex Group Pty Ltd is an Australian company specialising in Civil Construction and Linemarking services across the Northern Territory. We are currently seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our team. This position is being advertised internationally, and we are open to candidates currently based in Fiji who are interested in relocating to Australia for long-term employment opportunities.

About the Role

The Carpenter will be responsible for a variety of construction and maintenance tasks across civil and commercial projects. This is a hands-on role working within an experienced construction team on projects including footpaths, concrete works, small structures, formwork, and general construction works.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from timber, plywood, steel, and concrete formwork
• Read and interpret drawings and specifications
• Formwork for concrete footpaths, slabs, and civil works
• Install signage structures, barriers, and roadside infrastructure
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
• Work alongside civil crews and machine operators
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Follow Australian safety standards and company procedures

Requirements

• Trade qualification in Carpentry (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum 3 years carpentry experience
• Experience in formwork and concrete construction preferred
• Ability to read plans and work unsupervised
• Good work ethic and reliability
• Ability to pass a medical and police clearance
• Driver’s licence (preferred)
• Willingness to relocate to Australia
