Roles Description:
This is a full-time on-site role for a Accountant based at CJ Patel (Pacific) Pte Limited, Lami. CJ Patel (Pacific) Limited is part of the CJ Patel Group of Companies and is Fiji’s largest distributor of locally manufactured and imported Fast Moving Consumer Goods. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the successful candidate will manage key financial processes, ensure compliance with statutory requirements, and support the management team with timely and accurate financial information.

• Manage the general ledger and accounts payable, ensuring accurate financial cut-offs and reporting.
• Perform creditors reconciliations for both local and overseas suppliers, and oversee accruals, prepayments, and Goods in Transit (GIT).
• Review and approve creditor payments in line with company policies and internal controls.
• Assist in internal and external audits by preparing schedules and supporting documentation.
• Ensure timely and accurate statutory related payments, including Corporate Tax, VAT, PAYE, FNPF, Levy, and etc.
• Prepare and present comprehensive reports to support management decision-making.
• Supervise finance team members, including performance management, identification of training needs.

Qualification, Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CA) is desirable but not mandatory.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience as an Accountant or similar supervisory capacity.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, statutory compliance, and internal controls.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities.
