As we proudly transition into the InterContinental Luxury & Lifestyle Collection, The Grand Pacific Hotel Suva invites you to be part of its historic transformation. We are seeking a talented, passionate, and driven Demi Chef to support our team and to deliver world-class experience.

Reporting directly to Executive Chef, as a Demi Chef  your duties will include but not limited to the following:

• Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to established recipes and standards.
• Assist in managing a designated kitchen section efficiently.
• Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner with consistency and quality.
• Maintain strict adherence to food hygiene, health, and safety standards (HACCP).
• Monitor portion control, reduce wastage, and support cost control measures.
• Assist in stock rotation, storage, and inventory control.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the workstation at all times.
• Support training and guidance of junior kitchen colleagues.
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen and service teams to ensure smooth operations.

What we need from you

We are looking for a passionate, enthusiastic, and friendly individual who is willing to learn and build an extraordinary career within a global company. The ideal candidate will have:

• Certificate or Diploma in Culinary Arts or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in a similar role within a hotel or restaurant environment.
• Sound knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and time management skills.
• Passion for cooking and delivering quality food.
