Senior Internal Auditor

Roles Description:
This is a full-time role for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Internal Auditor to join our Group Internal Audit team based at out Head office in Lami . This role is responsible for evaluating and improving the effectiveness of risk management, internal controls, and governance processes across the organization.

• Plan, execute and lead internal audit assignments across business units.
• Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and risk management processes.
• Identify control gaps, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
• Prepare clear and concise audit reports with practical recommendations.
• Follow up on audit findings to ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.
• Support fraud investigations and special audit assignments where required.
• Provide coaching, guidance and mentoring to junior auditors to develop their skills and capabilities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Qualification, Experience and Attributes:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in internal audit.
• Strong knowledge of audit methodologies, risk assessment, and internal controls.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and report writing skills.
• Proven experience mentoring or leading junior team members is highly desirable.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
