Technical Assistant in Construction (NTPC)

Job Description & Skills/Qualifications Required

Background: 

Technical Assistant will be reporting to Head of Training Construction. The incumbent will be required to provide academic assistants to all TVET staff of the technical training division of NTPC by performing teaching or non-teaching related duties such as conducting practical, developing teaching materials, maintenance and repairs of training equipment and preparing and giving assessments and examinations. He/she is responsible for ensuring that all activities associated with practical training and assessments are in readiness, with application of OHS principles constantly at work.

Person Specification: 

Essential:

·        Trade Certificate in Cabinet Making/Carpentry.

·        3 years’ relevant work experience

·        Applicants also need to hold Cert IV in TAE OR Certificate in Teaching of TVET (Level 5) AND TOTS 1-4.

        Note: Applicants who do not hold this qualification should be willing to upgrade.

Desirable:

 

Higher Qualification.

Salary: FJ$21,250 per annum plus 10% superannuation
