We are currently seeking a highly motivated Senior Credit & Collections Executive to join our Share Services Finance Team at the Digicel Nabua office, reporting to the Team Leader Credit & Collections. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our growth and innovation!
This role is responsible for ensuring timely collection of outstanding payments, minimize credit risk, and maintain healthy cash flow for the organization. The role focuses on monitoring customer accounts, following up on overdue balances, enforcing credit policies, and resolving billing issues, all while maintaining positive relationships with customers. By effectively managing receivables and reducing aged debt, the executive supports the company’s financial stability, operational efficiency, and overall profitability.
Core responsibilities:
· Liaise with assigned customers at the start of each month to ensure invoices are received and all charges are accurately reflected
· Ensure collections targets are met through proactive and continuous follow-ups via calls, emails, messages, and other approved communication channels
· Provide collection support and guidance to other assigned HUB markets, sharing best practices and assisting with high-risk accounts
· Handle customer queries or issues impacting payments and escalate to relevant teams/departments for resolution
· Monitor aged debt accounts, provide detailed commentaries, and maintain continuous follow-up discussions with customers to secure payments
· Arrange and obtain approvals for payment plans with customers and ensure commitments are met
· Initiate customer account disconnections or legal action for non-payment after all collection efforts have been exhausted, ensuring proper approvals are obtained
· Prepare and submit detailed daily and periodic collection reports with insights and recommendations for management
· Coordinate with internal departments to streamline workflows, ensuring smooth exchange of information and collaboration
· Identify and escalate high-risk accounts, propose mitigation strategies, and support decision-making to reduce credit risk
· Mentor and guide junior credit & collections executives, supporting team performance and knowledge development
· Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned, including process improvements and contributing to overall credit management strategy
Academic qualifications, Experience & Skills required for this role:
· Advance Diploma in accounting , finance or business studies
· At least 2 -3 years' experience in a similar environment or in accounting and finance environment
· A good knowledge in Microsoft Excel or any billing system would be an added advantage.
· Strong initiative with the ability to work independently and proactively manage collections
· Effective team leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to mentor and guide junior team members
· Passion for employee development and knowledge sharing within the team
· Proficiency in MS Office Suite and experience using ERP or credit management systems
· Analytical skills to review reports, track payment patterns, and make informed decisions
