IT Officer

Permanent Position: IT Officer

Location: Waimalika, Nadi, Fiji

Lion One Metals is developing the Tuvatu underground gold mine and on-site processing plant at Tuvatu on the island of Viti Levu in Fiji. We are currently assembling our key operations team and are eager to attract an experienced, well-credentialed professional to fill the role of IT Officer. This is a permanent and full-time role.

Responsibilities, Essential Functions and Expectations:

·        Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues with client machines within a time frame

·        Installation of Anti-Virus on all computers

·        Configuration of Microsoft Office 365 for all users

·        Configure all users into Azure Active Directory

·        Configuration of users to multifunction printers, printers for printing, scan to emails, etc

·        Ability to configure and install CCTV cameras on all sites

·        Create daily, weekly and incremental backups on the NAS and server

·        When and where applicable, able to perform upgrades and additions to systems in order to                       increase performance

·        Knowledgebase with Biometric systems

·        Able to configure wifi devices such as indoor/ outdoor Access Points, Routers, Switches

·        Good understanding with Ubiquiti devices

·        Have experience with fiber optics, splicing, termination, etc.

·        Able to terminate network cables when required

·        Ability to work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedule when needed

·        Establish a good working relationship with people

·        Ability to understand users’ grievances and to be able to provide the correct solution

·        Able to work on Servers to create users and maintain functionality

·        Ability to work under pressure at any given time

·        Provide weekly to monthly checks on all clients’ systems to ensure better performance

·        Take on challenges when given

·        Able to provide and conduct user training once installation and project is completed.

·        Ability to meet deadlines

·        Prepare documentation for any given project after completion

·        Able to work remotely

·        Update supervisor with all complete tasks on a daily/ weekly basis.

Required Skills, Education and Experience:

•  At least minimum of 3 - 5 years work experience in the IT industry
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Pro-active, self-motivated, capable of leading others and delivering the work product as required in a lean environment.
