IT Assistant Academic Trainer

Job Description & Skills/Qualifications Required

IT Assistant Academic Trainer will be responsible for developing course materials, providing 
training and assessment, and other related activities in the VET Sector in Australia. This role requires 
skills and knowledge in relation to installing and configure virtual machines, Install hardware to 
network, etc1. We are seeking individuals who have a background in IT and are willing to learn and 
adapt.  

Key Responsibilities:  

Course Materials Development 
o Development of Learner guides (textbook-like guide for students) 
o Development of PowerPoint Presentations 
o Development of Assessment Tools (the exam-paper-like materials by which students 
are assessed) 
o Development of self-study guides (additional readings for students) 

Training and assessment 
o Deliver training (classes) to VET students 
o Assess students based on their performance in their assessment (examination). 

Record keeping  
o Keep track of tasks and responsibilities completed. Including documents, classes and 
other relevant tasks. 


Qualifications:  
• Graduate in Information Technology (IT) Field.  
• Experience in IT branch/discipline with a consistently good academic record 
throughout.   
• Excellent verbal/ written communication skills in English. Strong hold on 
fundamental basics of the subject  
• Excellent knowledge and skill on how to set up and install servers.
