Roles Description:
This is a full-time on-site role for a highly experienced Senior Learning and Development Officer based at our Head Office in Lami. Reporting to the Group Head of HR, the Senior Learning & Development (L&D) Officer will lead the Learning & Development function, supporting the growth and capability building of employees across the organization. This role will design, implement, and evaluate learning initiatives to enhance workforce performance and engagement.

  • Lead the development and execution of L&D strategies, programs, and initiatives aligned with organizational goals.
  • Design, deliver, and evaluate training programs, workshops, and e-learning solutions for employees at all levels.
  • Partner with business leaders to identify training needs and performance gaps.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of L&D interventions and recommend improvements.
  • Mentor and supervise L&D staff, providing guidance and support in program delivery.
  • Facilitate engaging and effective training sessions, workshops, and onboarding programs.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend improvements for continuous development.
  • Support succession planning and leadership development initiatives.
  • Implement Learning Management System (LMS) and ensure accurate training records and reporting.
  • Stay updated with industry best practices, trends, and innovative L&D strategies.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, or related field.
  • Must have minimum of 5 years’ experience in Learning & Development, talent management or similar role.
  • Proven experience designing and delivering training programs.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design, and training evaluation
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with e-learning platforms or LMS systems is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team and manage multiple projects.
