The Role:

Key Responsibilities:

Digital Merchandising

  • Manage the presentation, categorisation, and placement of products across the company’s e-commerce platforms.
  • Ensure accurate and compelling product descriptions, images, and specifications are displayed online.
  • Develop digital merchandising strategies to improve customer navigation, product discovery, and conversion rates.
  • Analyse customer behaviour, sales data, and website traffic to optimise product positioning and assortment.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and procurement for timely updates on stock availability, pricing, and product launches.
  • Ensure brand consistency and visual appeal across all digital touchpoints (website, app, and social platforms).

 

Promotions & Campaign Management

  • Plan and execute seasonal, thematic, and promotional campaigns to boost sales and traffic.
  • Coordinate pricing strategies, discounts, bundle offers and limited-time promotions.
  • Collaborate with marketing and design teams to develop digital banners, landing pages, and promotional materials.
  • Evaluate campaign performance using KPIs such as conversion rate, CTR (click-through rate), and ROI.
  • Manage promotional calendars, ensuring alignment with inventory levels, supplier partnerships, and marketing goals.
  • Work with the IT team to schedule and automate promotional activations on digital platforms.

 

Data Analytics & Reporting

  • Track daily, weekly, and monthly online sales performance and promotional effectiveness.
  • Conduct product performance and pricing analysis to identify trends and underperforming categories.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on digital merchandising, sales impact, and promotional ROI for management review.
  • Use analytical insights to recommend assortment changes, content enhancements, and promotional improvements.

 Customer Experience & Engagement

  • Ensure a seamless and engaging online shopping experience through effective merchandising and user-friendly interfaces.
  • Collaborate with customer service to gather feedback and improve online product content and promotions.
  • Monitor customer reviews and ratings to maintain a high standard of product presentation and reputation.

 

Team Leadership & Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Supervise and mentor junior marketing or merchandising staff involved in digital content and promotions.
  • Work closely with IT, sales, procurement, and finance departments to ensure smooth execution of online sales operations.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and external partners on co-branded promotions and digital advertising.
  • Stay updated on emerging e-commerce trends, consumer behaviours, and competitor promotions.
  • Other Duties
  • Carry out any additional tasks or responsibilities assigned by the Managing Director.

 

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of progressive experience in digital merchandising, e-commerce, or online marketing, with at least 2 years in a managerial capacity.
  • Proven experience in promotions planning, digital campaign execution, and product merchandising.
  • Experience in the retail or consumer goods industry is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated success in improving online sales and conversion through strategic merchandising and promotions.
  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, WooCommerce, or Magento.
  • Understanding of pricing and promotional planning, product lifecycle management, and inventory coordination.
  • Knowledge of data analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager, or Power BI.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership and team motivation capabilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams under tight deadlines.
  • Adaptability to new technologies, digital platforms, and retail trend
