Terra Whole Foods is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead the development of our landmark AgriCore Facility and Turmeric Powder Processing initiatives in Fiji. This role involves end-to-end oversight, from master planning a 7.6-acre site to the commissioning of high-capacity processing equipment. You will ensure all facilities meet international export standards (SQF, Organic, SMETA) while driving operational efficiency.
1. Terra Wholefoods AgriCore Facility Development
Site Master Planning: Prepare a comprehensive master plan for the 7.6-acre property, including land use for warehouses, indoor/open-field farms, and future value-addition facilities.
Core Warehouse Setup: Oversee the establishment of a central warehouse for turmeric, ginger, and powder processing.
Space Allocation Management: Manage the design and flow of specific stages:
Stage 1: Receiving (20 sqm), Washing (40 sqm), and Drying zones.
Stage 2: Dry Stock Storage (20 sqm), Grading (40 sqm), and Graded Stock Storage (30 sqm).
Stage 3: Export Storage (70 sqm).
Support Areas: Manage the setup of Packaging Storage (70 sqm), Offices (40 sqm), Training Rooms (20 sqm), Labs (20 sqm), and Staff Facilities (50 sqm).
Infrastructure & Systems: Integrate waste treatment, electrical layouts, hydraulic/plumbing systems, and CCTV/security infrastructure.
External Facilities: Develop container storage, farmer waiting areas, vehicle circulation zones, and car parks with washing zones.
2. Turmeric Powder Processing Facility
Operational Roadmap: Develop a detailed plan for a facility capable of meeting market demand in the USA, EU/UK, Australia, and New Zealand.
Equipment Commissioning: Oversee the procurement, testing, and commissioning of 300kg/hour powder processing equipment by the end of 2025.
Process Optimization: Design processing flows to maximize resource use and productivity while ensuring compliance with SQF, SMETA 4-Pillar, and NOP Organic standards.
3. Project Governance
Monitoring: Track project timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
HR & Organization: Prepare organizational charts outlining project roles and responsibilities.
Reporting: Provide weekly progress updates and final comprehensive reports for both facility initiatives.
Project Management Expertise: Proven experience in managing large-scale agricultural or industrial facility developments.
Technical Proficiency: Ability to identify equipment requirements, performance specifications, and operational layouts.
Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of international export and sustainability standards, specifically SQF, Organic (NOP), and SMETA 4-Pillar.
Financial & Analytical Skills: Ability to conduct high-level feasibility studies, financial analyses (ROI, break-even), and market validation.
Planning & Logistics: Expertise in site master planning, produce/personnel movement mapping, and phased development scheduling.
Tools: Proficiency in Time Doctor for accurate time tracking and reporting.
This is an 8-month independent contractor engagement totaling 760 hours. Key milestones include:
Nov 2025 – Jan 2026: Market Validation & Feasibility Summary.
Feb – March 2026: Project Plan/Process Flow Approval and Equipment Procurement.
April 2026: Site Preparation Completion.
May – June 2026: Equipment Installation & Commissioning
