IMEL - Purchasing Officer - Suva

Job Description & Skills/Qualifications Required

KEY DUTIES:

  • Source and procure goods, materials and services in a timely and cost-effective manner. 
  • Evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts and ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders and maintain accurate procurement records. 
  • Coordinate with internal departments to identify purchasing needs and ensure timely delivery. 
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist in maintaining adequate stock levels. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and service providers. 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Procurement, Business Administration or related field. 
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in similar role. 
  • Strong negotiation, communication and analytical skills. 
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
