Assistant Manager - Business & Tax Advisory

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our Business & Tax Advisory team in a senior capacity. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic advisory environment and is committed to delivering highquality service to a diverse portfolio of clients.

As an Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in managing and delivering tax and accounting compliance, business regulatory services, and related advisory engagements. You will work closely with clients to understand their bus​​​​​​​iness needs, ensure compliance with Fiji’s taxation and corporate regulatory frameworks, and provide practical, valueadding insights. The role also carries supervisory responsibilities, including guiding junior team members and contributing to the overall development of the advisory team.

Qualifications

This is a senior technical role, and to succeed, you must bring a strong foundation in Chartered Accounting, sound technical knowledge, and the ability to apply that knowledge in a practical business context.

You should have:

• A minimum of three years’ relevant experience in a Chartered Accounting environment
• Thorough and practical knowledge of Fiji taxation, company law, and related regulatory disciplines
• The ability to manage multiple deadlines while maintaining accuracy and professional standards
• A proactive, solutionsfocused mindset and the confidence to engage with clients at all levels

To be considered for this opportunity, your qualifications, skills and experience should include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related discipline
• Experience in compiling financial statements, including familiarity with IFRS for SMEs
• Demonstrated ability to apply tax and accounting concepts to real business scenarios
• Proficiency in accounting software (Xero or MYOB experience is desirable)
• Strong numerical, analytical, and problemsolving skills
• A selfstarter with strong financial acumen and the ability to work with minimal supervision
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal, leadership, and business development abilities, with the capability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members
• Fiji Institute of Chartered Accountants (FICA) membership is preferred.
