Carpenters Shipping - Heavy Diesel Mechanic /Electrician (Suva & Lautoka)

Carpenters Shipping is a well-established shipping & forwarding Agency and heavy transport and logistics business. We are seeking to employ experienced and a proactive individual for the Heavy Diesel Mechanic/Electrician role to be based in Suva and Lautoka.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair heavy diesel trucks, forklifts, and fleet equipment

• Perform electrical diagnostics and repairs on diesel and fleet machinery

• Carry out scheduled servicing, preventative maintenance, and breakdown repairs

• Identify faults in engines, transmissions, braking systems, hydraulics, and electrical systems

• Maintain accurate service and repair records

• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures

• Work efficiently to minimize fleet downtime

Requirements

• Trade qualification as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic and/or Auto Electrician

• Proven experience working with heavy vehicles, forklifts, or industrial equipment

• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills

• Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship
