Job Description

The Operational Insights Analyst position is responsible for designing and developing metrics, reports and analyses to drive key business decisions. Highly responsible for gathering the reporting requirements and translating, representing the required data into different forms of reports to meet the stakeholder needs.

Developer/Programmer or a technical expert capable of automating report generation and data manipulation. Requires attention to detail and a drive to deliver quality outcomes.

They will be responsible for delivering actionable insights to the ITS Leadership Team and Management Team, Finance Lead and various business unit stakeholders, to support business decision making and enhance financial and operational performance.

The role includes:

  • Analyse, design and implement User Interface (reports and dashboards) that meet agreed service timing and quality standards. Continually review and improve their value and effectiveness.
  • Responsible to extract, manipulate and analyse data and involved in report development and automation using Business intelligence reporting tools
  • Assist in the enhancement, maintenance and future developments of reports.
  • Identify and extract data to create meaningful insights with a focus on operational efficiency and business performance in response to stakeholder requests
  • Maintain dashboards and other business intelligence tools to ensure content and approach represent best practice.
  • Translate raw data into meaningful facts and insights to help businesses in making more accurate and better decisions. Used statistical techniques for hypothesis testing to validate data and interpretations.
  • Organize and present the raw findings in a meaningful way to assist the stakeholders in making the right decision.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary degree in Computer Science, Technology or Information Systems and VC/AV.
  • Experience with Office 2013/Office 365.
  • Familiar with Windows desktop, ITSM and ServiceNow will be an added advantage.
  • Possess skills such as customer service, relationship management and time management.
  • Be able to provide technical support.
