About Us:

This is a full-time on-site role based at Southern Cross Foods Pte Limited (SCF), Ba, Fiji. SCF is a subsidiary of CJPatel Group of Companies and specializes in manufacturing production of extruded snacks and confectionery for Fiji and International markets and is also a co-manufacturer of Maggi Noodles for Nestle. We are seeking to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced Fitter Machinist to be based in Ba.

Role Description:

• Diagnose faults and perform operational maintenance on machines including fitting and assembling fabricated metal parts into machines and equipment.
• Dismantle faulty tools and assemblies and repair or replace defective parts.
• Examine studying drawings and specifications to determine suitable material, method and sequence of operations and machine settings.
• Set up and/or operate hand and machine tools, welding equipment etc.
• Check accuracy and quality of finished parts, tools, or sub-assemblies.
• Conduct preventive maintenance of plant & equipment as per program and complete relevant records.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• A Trade Certificate or Diploma in Fitting & Machining / equivalent qualification.
• At least 2 years of experience in food manufacturing plant will be an added advantage.
• Aware of workplace health and safety regulations.
• Have the drive, energy, and personality to work as part of a team.
• Able to work with minimum supervision and on shift basis
