We’re now seeking a capable and service-driven Roving Assistant General Manager to support operations across our three properties.
Role Overview
The Roving Assistant General Manager (AGM) will play a pivotal leadership role, directly supporting the General Managers in day-to-day resort operations. You will oversee key departments including guest services, housekeeping, F&B, and maintenance, and ensure service excellence across the board. This is a hands-on, rotating role that will provide relief management across all three Yasawa resorts.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as Assistant General Manager during planned absences, peak seasons, or unforeseen circumstances.
- Oversee daily operations including front office, housekeeping, F&B, maintenance, and activities.
- Maintain resort standards and uphold brand consistency across properties.
- Lead staff training, performance management, and cultural integration initiatives.
- Foster a positive and professional workplace culture
- Assist in budget planning, cost control, and resource allocation
- Monitor operational KPIs and recommend improvements where needed
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and service recovery efficiently
- Maintain high levels of guest satisfaction through quality service delivery
- Supervise and coordinate department heads and team performance
- Oversee and support daily operations across multiple resort departments
- Ensure compliance with Fijian maritime, health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Support budgeting, cost control, and reporting to General Managers
Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years in a senior resort management role (AGM, Resort Manager, or equivalent).
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, HR, or related field (preferred)
- Demonstrated success in luxury or boutique island resort operations.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to thrive in remote, island-based conditions with limited connectivity.
- Proficiency in resort management systems preferred.
- Experience with budgeting, reporting, and performance analytics
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational abilities
- Strong knowledge of human resources practices and labor laws
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills
