About the Company:
This is a full-time on-site role based at Viti Foods Pte Limited (VFL), Laucala Beach Estate, Suva. VFL is a subsidiary of CJ Patel Group of Companies that specializes in manufacturing canned tuna and mackerel products for local and export markets. VFL is looking for a Sanitation Attendant to be based at our factory in Laucala Beach Estate, Suva.

Role Description:

The Sanitation Attendant will ensure that the manufacturing plant operates under strict hygiene and cleanliness standards. The incumbent will be responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining equipment, facilities, and work areas to meet food safety regulations and quality standards.

• Wash and sanitize all surfaces, equipment, and tools used in fish processing
• Clean floors, walls, ceilings, drains, and other areas to prevent contamination.
• Ensure proper disposal of production waste, water, and other by-products.
• Follow strict procedures for chemical use and handling.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations an ensure compliance with local and international food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO).
• Monitor and report any hygiene issues or hazards to supervisors.
• Maintain logs of cleaning schedules, chemical usage, and sanitation checks.
• Work closely with production and quality assurance teams.

Essential Requirements:

• Prior experience in food processing or sanitation is preferred
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and proper handling.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow strict procedures.
• Physical stamina and ability to work in wet and cold environments.
• Ability to work in a team.
