Administration and Community Coordinator

About the Role

The Administration & Community Coordinator provides essential administrative support and contributes to the planning and delivery of community programmes, events, and engagement activities. You’ll work closely with the project team, local partners, volunteers, and stakeholders to ensure activities run smoothly and align with SVA Fiji’s values and goals.

Key Responsibilities

Administration & Office Support

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the SVA Fiji team

  • Manage office operations, including filing, supplies, and general admin

  • Coordinate inductions, registrations, and training information for staff and volunteers

  • Maintain accurate data entry and record-keeping for admin and community-related activities

  • Assist with travel and accommodation arrangements for staff, volunteers, and partners

Community Coordination

  • Support the planning, logistics, and communication for community programmes and events

  • Liaise with local community groups, NGOs, and government agencies to strengthen partnerships

  • Assist with organising workshops, meetings, and community events, including scheduling and catering

  • Contribute to reporting, tracking, and monitoring community engagement outcomes

General Responsibilities

  • Uphold confidentiality and professionalism in all work

  • Promote SVA Fiji’s values of fairness, integrity, respect, sustainability, and inclusion

  • Support wellbeing and sustainability initiatives within SVA Fiji operations

  • Provide practical support or cover for other team members where needed

About You

You will be someone who thrives in a dynamic, people-focused environment and enjoys balancing administrative duties with community-facing work.

You will bring:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in administration and/or community-focused roles

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong organisational and time management abilities

  • High attention to detail and accuracy in administrative tasks

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

  • Genuine interest in community development and strengthening local relationships
