Purpose of the Role:   The Team Leader Apron Operations is responsible for implementing safety measures, policing of apron rules and procedures and the monitoring of facilities, lighting, markings & signage to ensure the safety of operations on the apron area. The role is also responsible for the operational availability of the apron in ensuring that the pavement is fit for purpose and the surroundings are absent of threats that could jeopardise the safe operations of aircraft manoeuvring. In the event of unsafe areas being identified, the Officer shall initiate the closure of a gate or a portion of the apron until rectified. The role is responsible for the appropriate allocation of parking gates for aircraft as documented in the Fiji Aeronautical Information Publication and the safe manoeuvring of the Passenger Boarding Bridges by certified staff, to dock with an aircraft.
