The position ensures the communities have child protection plans that address issues of violence, abuse, exploitation and neglect of children. The role is also responsible in involving the community, including the community leaders, women, men, youths and children in the development of child protection plans. The position is responsible for the technical delivery of research outputs including data collection, as well as capital project monitoring and reporting.  Key Responsibilities 1. Undertake field- and desk-based research on wood and non-wood forest species, including resource characterisation, log sampling, wood property studies, product development, and durability trials and monitoring of lesser-known species, in accordance with approved methodologies and work programmes. 2. Conduct basic laboratory procedures for wood and non-wood research, including sample preparation, testing, measurement and documentation of results in line with established SOPs. 3. Manage and analyse research data, ensuring accurate data entry, database management and record keeping to support technical analysis and evidence-based recommendations. 4.
