The Assistant Accountant plays a key role in supporting Douglas Fiji’s finance function by managing the transactional accounting team, including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. This role ensures timely, accurate processing of financial transactions and strong control of day-to-day accounting operations, contributing to the overall financial health of the business.
What you'll do
Manage Accounts Payable processes, including invoice processing in SAP (MIRO), supplier reconciliations, payment preparation, and query resolution.
Support Accounts Receivable activities, including customer deposit reconciliations, debtor reviews, and receipt processing.
Perform banking tasks such as bank statement uploads, reconciliations, and clearing outstanding items by month end.
Maintain General Ledger integrity through GRIR clearing, prepayment management, and posting of accurate journal entries.
