To provide advice and support services in terms of Information Technology (IT) applications to all the divisions and sections of the Ministry of Infrastructure & Meteorological Services (MIMS) in relation to proper maintenance, computer application downloading, and computer repairs.
Key Responsibilities
The position of Assistant IT Programmer – GII Technician encompasses the following major functions or key results area.
1. Information Technology Systems (ITS) maintenance and support
2. End User Helpdesk support
3. Liaise with Governments IT Agency – ITC.
4. Telephone PABX and Mobile Phone maintenance and support
5. Occupational Health & Safety
Knowledge & Experience
Broad knowledge of hardware, software and programming.
Knowledge of network (WAN/LAN) devices and technologies.
Knowledge of telecommunication devices and systems
Knowledge of systems and data security principles....
