The position supports the Principal Accounts Officer to ensure that the finance functions of the Ministry are carried out in accordance with the relevant financial rules and regulations, and proper accounting records are maintained for the Ministry.
Key Responsibilities
1. Ensure that all necessary payments and processing of bills, travel expenses and allowances, processing of Accountable advances and refunds are in accordance with the relevant acts and regulations.
2. Ensure that all accounting records are kept up to date and in accordance with the relevant acts, regulations, standards, policies, and instructions.
3. Provide consolidated information into reports and presentations through research and properly analyse data so that well informed decisions are made.
4. Prepare vouchers for payment and prepare drawing reconciliation.
5. Assist in the Preparation of the Agency Financial Statement.
