Credit Controller - Newman Pte Limited

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an experienced Credit Controller to be based at Newman Pte Limited, WaluBay, Suva. Newman Pte Limited is a subsidiary of CJ Patel Group of Companies and is the largest electronic payments processor of prepaid mobile airtime top up services throughout Fiji. The key business focuses on sales and distribution of prepaid mobile airtime, top up services and recharge market including processing electronic purchases of prepaid mobile airtime and transaction processing for other pre-payment services.

• Manage debtors, ensuring timely payments from customers and implementing effective credit control policies to minimize financial risk.
• Evaluate credit applications and assess the creditworthiness of new and existing customers.
• Monitor debtor account balances, identify potential problems and discuss improvements.
• Implement and maintain effective credit control policies and procedures.
• Manage the collection of outstanding debts from customers.
• Contact customers regarding overdue payments and negotiate payment plans.
• Initiate legal action for outstanding debts when necessary.
• Prepare reports on outstanding debts and credit performance.
• Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies respond to customer inquiries regarding payments and credit terms.
• Liaise with other departments, such as sales and operations, to resolve issues.
• Monitor debtor days with other departments.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in managing credit and accounts receivables or in a similar credit management role.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple accounts and deadlines simultaneously is essential.
• A strong understanding of credit control principles, practices, and regulations is crucial.
• Ability to identify and resolve issues related to credit and collections is important.
