Senior Multimedia Officer

Job Description & Skills/Qualifications Required

Purpose of the Role: 

The Senior Multimedia Officer leads the creation and delivery of high-impact multimedia content and visual storytelling for Fiji Airports’ brand and marketing campaigns, supports revenue-generating initiatives, and strengthens stakeholder engagement across domestic and international platforms.

Key accountabilities:

Creative Leadership & Strategy

  • Lead the content and multimedia team in delivering all visual communications and promotional materials for Fiji Airports and drives brand differentiation and audience engagement
  • Assist Manager Marketing and Branding with the implementation of a 3-year multimedia strategy aligned with the Marketing and Branding strategy and audit outcomes.
  • Establish and maintain processes, procedures, and standards for the Multimedia function, including development of a procedural manual.
  • Provide technical leadership and advise on future multimedia systems, tools, and capability development.
  • Work with the Manager M&B on the annual capital expenditure (CAPEX) budget for multimedia equipment and software.

Content Creation & Production

  • Design, develop, capture, and produce high-quality multimedia content including video, photography, graphics, animations, and digital assets.
  • Lead filming and photography operations across airport environments (airside and landside), ensuring compliance with safety and security protocols.
  • Edit and produce video content including short-form, long-form, promotional, corporate, and social media formats.
  • Develop creative visual storytelling content for campaigns, publications, presentations, events, and digital platforms.
  • Manage and deliver high quality signage and visual branding materials, ensuring consistency with brand identity guidelines.
  • Work closely with the Marketing team to support and deliver digital engagements/ campaigns and ongoing content calendars.

 

Digital, Social Media & Communications Support

  • Work closely with the Marketing team to support and deliver digital engagements/ campaigns and ongoing content calendars.
  • Create visually engaging social-first content optimized for platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and emerging platforms.
  • Monitor digital trends and recommend innovative content formats relevant to aviation, tourism, and destination marketing to supports revenue and traffic growth objectives.

 

Branding, Marketing & Campaign Support

  • Ensure all multimedia outputs align with Fiji Airports’ brand guidelines, tone, and visual identity.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Branding teams to enhance creative direction and multimedia storytelling.
  • Support marketing campaigns, airline partnerships, destination promotions, community initiatives, and corporate milestones.
  • Assist in developing creative concepts for local and international campaigns to achieve the targeted outcomes.

 

Stakeholder & Event Coverage

  • Capture and produce multimedia content for airport events, VIP visits, airline launches, stakeholder engagements, and corporate functions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, airport stakeholders, tourism partners, and external agencies to deliver content requirements, enhances stakeholder perception and corporate reputation.

 

Asset Management & Reporting

  • Develop and maintain a centralized digital asset library for photos, videos, and templates.
  • Support content performance tracking and reporting on engagement metrics where required.
  • Assist in reporting for campaigns and management updates.
  • Provide administrative support to the Marketing and Commercial teams, including tracking publication pipelines and coordinating with freelancers and suppliers.

Qualifications, Professional Knowledge and Experience: 

  • Certificate in Graphics or Diploma in a related field (e.g. Management, Design, Multimedia).
  • Minimum of 8 -10 years’ experience in a creative, multimedia, or commercial business environment.
  • Understanding of social media content requirements, formats, and platform best practices.
  • Strong technical skills in video editing and colour grading, photography and photo editing, and motion graphics at a basic to intermediate level are required.
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator, and Lightroom.
  • AI and drone operation skills (licensed or willingness to obtain certification) are an advantage.
  • Ability to lead technical advisory input for future multimedia systems and team capability development.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English.
