Job Description & Skills/Qualifications Required
Kokomo Private Island is looking for a Class 6 FULL Marine Captain to join our marine team. We’re looking for someone with the skills, attitude and initiative to lead safe, professional trips that give our guests the wow factor.
Our fleet includes cruising catamarans, offshore game fishing vessels, dive vessels and inshore craft. As captain, you will be responsible for the safety and operation of the vessels in your charge, their upkeep and presentation, and the training of your crew.
You’ll take pride in your work, communicate clearly with the team and enjoy engaging with guests on the water around Kadavu. We’re looking for a capable, well-rounded captain with strong English communication skills, experience delivering high-end guest experiences, and confidence operating game outboard-powered vessels up to 15m.
Qualifications:
- A valid Master/Engineer Class 6 (FULL) license
- Basic Safety at Sea Certificate
- A valid certificate of Medical Fitness for service in the deck department
- Valid eye sight and colour test certificate/report
- GMDSS restricted operators’ certificate
- Valid seafarers’ employment record book (S.E.R.B)
- Strong guest service and relationship management experience
- Professional presentation with a positive, team-oriented attitude
- A latest Police Clearance Report
