Kokomo Private Island is looking for a Class 4 Marine Engineer to join our marine team. We’re looking for someone with the practical skills, attitude and initiative to help keep our vessels reliable, safe and ready to deliver professional trips that give our guests the wow factor.
Our fleet includes cruising catamarans, offshore game fishing vessels, dive vessels and inshore craft. You will be responsible for the mechanical condition and presentation of the vessels you serve on, working across propulsion engines, generators, air conditioning, electrical and plumbing systems.
You’ll take pride in your work, communicate clearly with the team and be comfortable engaging with guests during their time on the water around Kadavu. We value people who share their knowledge and want to keep developing their skills.
Qualifications:
- Proof of your Engineer Class 4 license
- A valid certificate of medical fitness for service in the deck department
- A valid eyesight and colour vision test certificate
- A valid Advanced Safety Certificate covering:
- Proficiency in survival craft and rescue boats other than fast rescue boats — STCW Section A-VI/2-1
- Medical First Aid at Sea — STCW Section A-VI/4-1
- Advanced Firefighting — STCW Section A-VI/3
- Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities — STCW Section A-VI/1-4
- An Engine Resource Management Certificate
- A valid S.E.R.B. book
- Provide the latest Police clearance report.
