Roles Description:
This is a full-time role for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Internal Auditor and Internal Auditor to join our Group Internal Audit team based at out Head office in Lami . This role is responsible for evaluating and improving the effectiveness of risk management, internal controls, and governance processes across the organization.
- Plan, execute and lead internal audit assignments across business units.
- Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and risk management processes. Identify control gaps, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
- Prepare clear and concise audit reports with practical recommendations.
- Follow up on audit findings to ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.
- Support fraud investigations and special audit assignments where required.
- Provide coaching, guidance and mentoring to junior auditors to develop their skills and capabilities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Qualification, Experience and Attributes:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in internal audit.
- Strong knowledge of audit methodologies, risk assessment, and internal controls.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, investigative, and report-writing skills.
- Proven experience in leading audit assignments and mentoring junior team members will be an advantage, particularly for the Senior Internal Auditor position.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple audit assignments, and meet established deadlines.
