COMMERCIAL FINANCE ANALYST

Are you a finance professional who enjoys looking beyond the numbers and finding out what they really mean for a business?

TMA Group is looking for a Commercial Finance Analyst to join our Business Analysis team in Nadi. This is an exciting opportunity to work with an Australian-owned multinational and collaborate with teams across Fiji, Australia and our international operations.

You won't just be producing reports. You'll help answer real commercial questions:

💰 Where are we losing margin?
📈 What is an opportunity really worth?
⚙️ Where can we reduce costs or improve efficiency?

You'll use Excel, Power BI, SQL and AI tools to turn financial and operational data into insights that support pricing, profitability, contracts and business growth.

🔑 What You'll Do

• Analyse revenue, costs, margins and profitability across customers, contracts and products.

• Build financial models for pricing, forecasting, budgeting and business cases.

• Identify opportunities for cost savings and margin improvement.

• Analyse customer and supplier contracts for commercial viability and performance.

• Build Power BI dashboards and management reports to track KPIs and financial performance.

• Use AI tools such as Copilot, ChatGPT and Claude to improve analysis, automation and reporting.

• Prepare ROI analysis, business cases and commercial recommendations.

• Extract, reconcile and validate data from finance and operational systems.

• Partner with Finance, Operations and Sales to improve processes and decision-making.

• Provide analysis and insights to senior management and customers.

🎯 What You'll Bring

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or Economics.

• 2+ years' experience in finance, accounting, commercial analysis or FP&A.

• Strong understanding of P&L, balance sheet, cost accounting, margins and variance analysis.

• Advanced Excel skills, including Power Query, Pivot Tables and financial modelling.

• Experience with Power BI and SQL is highly regarded.

• Practical experience using AI tools to work smarter and improve productivity.

• Strong commercial thinking — you can explain what the numbers mean and why they matter.

• Experience with ERP/accounting systems.

• Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Manufacturing, logistics or supply chain experience is an advantage.

• FICA, CA ANZ or CPA membership/progress towards qualification is highly regarded.

• Fiji citizenship or the right to work in Fiji and availability to work full-time on-site in Nadi.
