Plumber

Goolma Ltd which operates Paradise Cove Resort, Blue Lagoon Beach Resort & Octopus Resort is seeking a skilled and reliable Plumber to join our Maintenance/Engineering team. This is an island-based position, and the successful candidate must be willing to reside on-site and work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays as required by resort operations.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems across the resort, ensuring guest rooms, staff facilities, and public areas remain fully operational. This role requires a hands-on individual with a strong trade background, sound technical knowledge, and the flexibility to respond to maintenance needs as they arise, including after-hours callouts when necessary.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems, fixtures, and fittings across resort facilities, guest rooms, and staff quarters
• Diagnose and resolve plumbing faults promptly to minimise disruption to guest services
• Conduct routine inspections of water supply, drainage, and wastewater systems
• Support preventive maintenance schedules in line with resort engineering standards
• Ensure all work complies with relevant plumbing codes, health, and safety standards
• Respond promptly to maintenance callouts, including after-hours emergencies when required
• Maintain accurate records of work completed, parts used, and maintenance logs
• Work collaboratively with the wider Engineering/Maintenance team and other departments

Requirements

• Trade Certificate in Plumbing from a recognised tertiary institute
• Full Plumbing License (current and valid)
• Minimum 2–3 years' relevant work experience, preferably within a resort, hotel, or similar hospitality/commercial setting
• Willingness to be based on-site (island-based position) and work flexible hours
• Sound knowledge of plumbing systems, tools, and safety practices
• Physically fit and able to work in an outdoor/tropical island environment
• Good communication and teamwork skills

This is an on-site live-in role with shared accommodation.
