About Us:
Viti Foods Pte Limited is a subsidiary of CJ Patel Group of Companies and we specialize in manufacturing canned tuna and mackerel products for local and export markets. We are seeking to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced Sanitation Attendant to be based in Laucala Beach Estate, Suva.
Role Description:
The Sanitation Attendant will ensure that the manufacturing plant operates under strict hygiene and cleanliness standards. The incumbent will be responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining equipment, facilities, and work areas to meet food safety regulations and quality standards.
- Wash and sanitize all surfaces, equipment, and tools used in fish processing.
- Clean floors, walls, ceilings, drains, and other areas to prevent contamination.
- Ensure proper disposal of production waste, water, and other by-products.
- Follow strict procedures for chemical use and handling.
- Adhere to health and safety requiements at workplace and food safety compliance (e.g., HACCP)
- Monitor and report any hygiene issues or hazards to supervisors.
- Maintain logs of cleaning schedules, chemical usage, and sanitation checks.
- Work closely with production and quality assurance teams.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Prior experience in food processing or sanitation is preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and proper handling.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow strict procedures.
- Physical stamina and ability to work in wet and cold environments.
- Ability to work in a team.
Remuneration:
Competitive market-based remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
