Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Services Manager specialising in compilation to join our Business & Tax Advisory (BTA) team in Suva.

As part of our leadership team this role encompasses managing a portfolio of business services clients, with particular emphasis on financial statement compilation engagements including reviewing work prepared by team members and ensuring the delivery of high-quality financial statements for partner review. The successful candidate will work closely with staff to provide guidance, technical support, and coaching while ensuring assignments are completed accurately and within agreed timeframes.

Qualifications

Applicants should have appropriate tertiary qualifications and the following skills and qualities:

•       Strong experience in the preparation and review of financial statements, including IFRS for SMEs.

•       Strong technical accounting and taxation knowledge, with the ability to identify and resolve accounting issues and apply accounting and taxation principles to a range of business scenarios.

•       Proven ability to review work prepared by team members, provide constructive feedback, and manage multiple engagements and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

•       Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.

•       Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

•       Strong interpersonal and dynamic leadership skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues and support the development of team members.

•       Previous experience in a Chartered Accounting environment, together with a thorough working knowledge of Fiji taxation, company law, and related regulatory requirements.
