This exciting regional leadership opportunity is based at the Holiday Inn & Suites Port Moresby.

This is a key leadership role responsible for supporting the smooth and efficient operation of both hotels while maintaining consistently high standards of guest service. Reporting directly to the Hotel Manager, the Operations Manager will work closely with department heads and hotel teams to drive operational performance, guest satisfaction, colleague engagement and commercial results.

A Little Taste of Your Day-to-Day

As Operations Manager, you will support the Hotel Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of Holiday Inn & Suites and Holiday Inn Express. You will be a visible presence across both hotels, working closely with Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Engineering and other support functions to maintain brand standards, resolve operational issues and deliver an exceptional guest experience.

• Provide leadership and operational support to Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Engineering and other departments.
• Monitor staffing levels, productivity, rosters and operational resources.
• Coach, mentor and support department heads and colleagues to achieve performance and development objectives.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cost control and management of operational expenses.
• Conduct regular operational inspections to ensure cleanliness, presentation, safety and service standards are maintained.
• Handle guest concerns and operational challenges professionally and ensure timely resolution.
• Ensure compliance with hotel policies, brand standards, workplace health and safety
• Support emergency procedures, security protocols and business continuity plans.
• Work closely with Sales and Revenue teams to support occupancy, revenue and overall hotel profitability.
• Support the Hotel Manager with strategic initiatives, projects and other duties as required.

What We Need From You

•  A minimum of 5 years' experience in hotel operations, with previous experience in a management or senior supervisory position.
• Previous experience as Front Office Manager or Rooms Division Manager
• Experience working within an international or branded hotel environment is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of Front Office, Housekeeping and Food & Beverage operations.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
• A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering excellent guest experiences.
• The ability to remain calm, professional and solutions-focused in a busy hotel environment.
• Good knowledge of hotel operating systems, OPERA, and Microsoft Office applications.
• A strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
• Flexibility to work across different shifts and support hotel operations as required
