Finance Officer

We are seeking a Finance Officer to join our team, responsible for upholding integrity, and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all information at the branch level.

This role involves:

• Managing cash clearing
• Reconciling daily sales,
• Handling banking duties and
• Ensuring that all transactions are accurately entered into the system.

This role reports to the Branch Team Leader Finance and is based at our terminal in Wailada, Lami.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performing daily cash clearing reconciliation to sales in a timely manner in line  with sales and cash handling policy;
• Ensuring banking transactions are processed promptly., accurately and grouped according to payment methods while minimizing risk and complying with organizational procedures;
• Conducting daily cash balancing, preparing bank deposits and complete banking runs as required;
• Assisting with entering manual sales invoices into the ERP system accurately and within required timelines;
• Reporting and following up on collection and receipting variances to ensure timely resolution;
• Maintaining and managing the stationary register and ensuring stationery is securely stored and all stock movements are properly recorded.

REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE:

• Tertiary Qualification in accounting/Finance or other relevant discipline with a minimum of 1 year experience in Finance;
• Proficient in the use of MS Office applications;
• Excellent in verbal and written communication skills;
• Ability to work with minimum supervision;
• Ability to meet deadlines.
