Senior Accounts Payable Officer

We are located at Units 1 – Units 7 (Entire level 1) of Eden Plaza in Martinar, Nadi.

Our client, a multinational company based in Sydney is expanding its operations in Fiji and relocating more accounting roles to Fiji. Thus this has given rise to multiple roles in their accounting division.

Whilst headquartered in Sydney, the company also has offices in USA, NZ and Philippines. The group of entities provides products and services to industries including airlines, airports, FMCG, manufacturing, retail, higher education, telecoms, government, packaging, logistics and many more.

 About the Role

This is a full time permanent role and employment conditions administered under Fiji laws. The role operates on Fiji times and follows through local holidays.

 The role requires reporting to office as work from home option is not available.

 Key Responsibilities

Processing and reconciling customer invoices and payments

• Review and approve invoice processing completed by junior accounts payable.
• Manage end to end accounts payable functions.
• Reconcile AP control accounts and high volume supplier accounts.
• Investigate and resolve complex invoice, payment and vendor issues.
• Lead month-end and year end AP closing activities.
• Train, mentor and support junior accounts payable team members.

About you

To be successful in this position you'll be passionate about doing a superb job and working with a great crew.  You’ll also bring:

• Diploma in accounting from a recognized University.
• 3 – 5 years experience working with any ERP or prominent accounting software.
• A high attention to detail and financial literacy
• You have demonstrated experience in receivable and data entry
• You enjoy problem-solving and delivering high levels of accuracy
• Prior experience in the outsourced accounting or working for multinationals will be an added advantage.
