Finance Officer (Accounts Receivable) - CEVA Fiji

CEVA Fiji is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Officer – Accounts Receivable to join our Finance team based in Suva.

Key Responsibilities:

This role is responsible for managing customer accounts, ensuring timely collections, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the overall financial operations of the business. Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor customer accounts and ensure timely collection of outstanding debts.
  • Perform customer account reconciliations and promptly resolve billing discrepancies.
  • Follow up on overdue accounts and maintain effective customer relationships.
  • Process customer receipts and allocate payments accurately.
  • Prepare Accounts Receivable ageing reports and assist with debt collection activities.
  • Maintain accurate customer account records and credit files.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including general ledger reconciliations.
  • Prepare journal entries relating to Accounts Receivable.
  • Support internal and external audit requirements by providing relevant documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with Company policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Perform other finance-related duties as assigned by Management.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in Accounts Receivable or similar accounting role.
  • Sound understanding of accounting principles and accounts receivable processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience in the freight forwarding, logistics, or shipping industry will be an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and reconciliation skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • High level of accuracy, integrity, and professionalism.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
