Assistant Youth Worker

Kauwai Youth Restoration Service (KYRS) is a residential service which provides a safe, nurturing environment for boys experiencing homelessness, without parental care or with a history or risk of substance abuse.

To provide high-quality assistant support to the Senior Youth Worker and KYRS Manager working with the current youth residents at the Kauwai Youth Restoration Service (KYRS).

Tasks would include:

• Management support in running the boys home
• Assisting in mentoring & supporting the boys
• Assisting in Spiritual input at the boys home
• Assisting in Aftercare management
• Assisting in Activities management
• Participating in team meetings
• Assisting in required administration duties

Skills/Qualifications required:

• Be a team player
• Have a driver's license
• experience in working with youth at risk
• a qualification in working with youth would be beneficial but not essential
• Having a musical background would be beneficial but not essential
• Having extensive knowledge of Fijian history and culture would be beneficial but not essential
