Job Description & Skills/Qualifications Required

To provide cleaning services for the Salvation Army Divisional Headquarters (DHQ) Building, ensuring that the DHQ building is kept clean and tidy on a daily basis.

Main Duties - Daily & Weekly

  • Sweep and mop the kitchen and ensure tables are clean and kitchen benches are tidy,
  • Daily Sweep entrance way of leaves and rubbish.
  • Sweep and mop the front entrance including foyer & reception.
  • Clean toilets and hand basins upstairs and downstairs, sanitizing touch surfaces daily.
  • Stock the toilet paper holders and hand towel holders.
  • Sweep and mop the hallways & stairs.
  • Sweep and mop all DHQ office floors every week.
  • Remove rubbish from kitchen and put in outside bins (end of day).
  • Remove rubbish from reception and each office daily.
  • Ensure that hot water dispenser in kitchen is kept clean and free of splash marks.
  • Wash and replace hand towels in bathrooms and tea towels in kitchen.
  • Ensure that all cleaning products are tidy and well stocked,
  • Ensure cleaning equipment is kept clean, tidy and in order.

Main Duties - Monthly

  • Clean Fridge inside and out.
  • Clean microwave inside and out.
  • High dusting of all walls and offices in DHQ.
  • Clean all internal windows.
  • Wipe down skirting boards in passageways, board room, kitchen, offices, reception and foyer, upstairs and downstairs.

Additional Duties

  • Clean and wash all walls once a year.

  • Attention to detail and cleanliness
