Job Description & Skills/Qualifications Required

Purpose of the Role:  

The Car Park Concierge is responsible for ensuring the safe, orderly, and customer-focused operation of airport landside car parks and associated public areas. The role promotes a positive airport experience through effective customer service, parking compliance enforcement, revenue support, and crowd management, while also providing limited facilities attendant support in maintaining cleanliness, functionality, and presentation of assigned public areas.  

 

 

 

Key Accountabilities:

1. Car Park & Landside Operations

  • Manage and monitor public car park, short-term, staff, and designated loading zones. o Guide and assist customers with parking, payment systems, and wayfinding
  • Enforce parking rules, time limits, and compliance requirements in accordance with Fiji
  • Airports policies
  • Monitor and report illegal parking, congestion, or unsafe behaviour within landside areas.
  • Support revenue protection through accurate observance of paid parking, penalties, and reporting of irregularities.
  • Monitor blue-sticker loading zones and assist in maintaining smooth traffic flow.
  • Coordinate with security, operations, and commercial teams on landside issues.  

2. Customer Service & Concierge Support: 

  • Provide courteous, professional assistance to passengers, visitor, tenants, and service providers.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries, complaints, and incidents, escalating where required.
  • Promote a welcoming airport environment and uphold Fiji Airports’ service standards. o Support special events or peak operations as directed.            

3. Facilities (Support Role-Limited Scope):

  • Conduct routine visual checks on cleanliness and presentation of assigned car park areas, walkways, and public amenities.
  • Assist with basic housekeeping support such as litter control, reporting spills, hazards or maintenance issues.
  • Support set-up or movement of basic consumables (signages, cones, signage, barriers) for operational or event requirements.
  • Monitor availability of basic consumables (signages, cones, cleaning supplies) and report shortages. Assist in maintaining safe, tidy, and functional public areas aligned to facilities standards. 

4. Safety, Crowd Control & Compliance:

  • Assist with crowd control and marshalling during peak periods or disruptions. o Act as a first responder in minor incidents and follow emergency procedures (First Aid, evacuation support).
  • Ensure all activities comply with workplace health and safety policies.
  • Report hazards, incidents, and near-misses promptly. 

 

Qualifications, Professional Knowledge and Experience:

  • Minimum secondary education; certificate in customer service, facilities operations, or related field desirable.
  • Experience in parking operation, facilities support, security, crowd control, or customer service is desirable.
  • Basic understanding of revenue handling, public area management, and compliance enforcement. First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Physically fit and able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays. Valid driver’s licence is an advantage
