About Us:

Iceman (Fiji) Pte Limited, a subsidiary of the CJ Patel Group, represents world renowned brands like Copeland, Geneglace (France), Bitzer (Germany) and Heatcraft (Australia) and primarily deals with installation, assembling, selling and carrying out maintenance on prefabricated cold rooms, ice plants, display freezers, chillers and refrigerated trucks. We are seeking to recruit suitably qualified and experienced Refrigeration Technician(s) to be based in Nadi and Suva.

Role Description:

The successful incumbent(s) will be responsible for working across a variety of projects and commercial sites, delivering installation, servicing, and maintenance of refrigeration systems. These include cold and storage rooms, Freezer trucks, Ice machines, Supermarket and industrial display freezers, Chillers and other commercial refrigeration units.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot refrigeration equipment failures.
• Install, repair, and service all types of refrigeration systems, including cool rooms, display units, and freezers.
• Estimate material requirements and plan for start-up, testing, and commissioning of refrigeration equipment.
• Conduct routine servicing and preventative maintenance.
• Accurately complete work orders, service reports, and job sheets.
• Attend emergency breakdowns and participate in an on-call roster for after-hours emergencies.
• Train, mentor, and assist junior technicians and co-workers.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Tertiary qualification in Air - Conditioning and Refrigeration.
• Proven experience working with commercial refrigeration systems in a similar capacity.
• Gas license will be an added advantage but not mandatory.
• Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and compliance schematics.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexible in approach to working hours including on-call.

Remuneration:

Competitive market-based remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
