Accounts Payable Officer /Assistant

Job Description & Skills/Qualifications Required

Summary of Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities

  • Raise purchase orders and post supplier invoices.
  • Reconcile supplier accounts with statements.
  • Verify supporting documents; prepare payment vouchers and cheques for approval and signing.
  • Prepare and reconcile intercompany payments.
  • Process statutory payments.
  • Assist with month-end procedures.
  • Support daily finance and accounting operations.
  • Complete ad hoc tasks as assigned by the Accountant or Senior Management.

Qualifications & Experience:

The candidate must be a fresh accounting/ finance graduate or a final year student.

At least one year of experience in a similar role and working knowledge in accounting software would be an added advantage but not mandatory.

The following are required for this role.

  1. MS Office Skills (Excel, Word)
  2. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask
  3. Good Attention to details
  4. Ability to act with confidentiality and discretion
  5. Sound communication skills
  6. Willingness to learn and Can-do attitude
