REFRIGERATION AND TECHNICAL SUPERVISOR
About Us:
Iceman (Fiji) PTE Limited, a subsidiary of the CJ Patel Group, represents world renowned brands like Copeland, Geneglace (France), Bitzer (Germany) and Heatcraft (Australia) and primarily deals with installation, assembling, selling and carrying out maintenance on prefabricated cold rooms, ice plants, refrigerated trucks and air conditioners. We are seeking to recruit suitably qualified and experienced Refrigeration and Technical Supervisor to be based in Suva.
Role Description:
The Refrigeration and Technical Supervisor will be responsible for leading directing and coordinating the refrigeration department to optimize performance with regard to safety, productivity and quality.
- Oversee refrigeration projects ensuring service is delivered within specified scope, timeline and budget.
- Supervise technical maintenance activities of Industrial and commercial plant and equipment.
- Designs modifications and review plans and specifications for new construction to determine compatibility with existing equipment or acceptability of design.
- Conduct quality check of work in progress and upon completion to assure acceptability.
- Mentor and provide technical assistance to technicians and trainees including solving repair issues and prioritizing assignments.
- Be the subject matter expert and ensure that all personnel are trained and in compliance with required skills to operate equipment and conduct duties relevant to their position.
- Assists on special projects and installations outside of own department.
- Maintain schedules, time sheets, PM's and generate work orders for the refrigeration team.
- Set goals for department personnel and assist them in accomplishing objectives.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Trade or Diploma level qualification in Refrigeration and Air conditioning.
- Minimum 10 years demonstrable experience working within the Industrial Refrigeration Sector, with experience in both Industrial and Commercial systems in a similar capacity.
- Considerable knowledge of the design and operation of refrigeration control systems and practices, methods, materials, and equipment used in the service and installation.
- Experience & strong technical knowledge in Evaporator brands like Luve, Kirby & Patten and Refrigeration machines like Copeland, Kirby & Bitzer.
- Strong Communication and delegation skills.
- Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in designing and conducting technical trainings both inhouse and on the job.
Remuneration:
Competitive market-based remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
