Finance Officer

About Us:

This is a full-time on-site role based at Newman Pte Limited is a subsidiary of CJ Patel Group of Companies. The position is based in Walu Bay, Suva. Reporting to the Accountant, the successful incumbent will be responsible for:

• Accurate and timely processing of receipts and invoices.
• Printing, Dispatching & Receiving invoices, DCNs, M-Paisa Remittance.
• Assist in AR team for any reconciliation with customer accounts.
• Respond efficiently to customers and sales team queries.
• Keep accurate records for all daily transactions for statutory reporting purposes.
• Update internal systems with financial data and carry out timely reconciliations.
• Assist in month end closing of the General Ledger and compilation of month end reports.
• Submit and assist internal/external auditors in perusing documents relating to job role.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle, including addressing breakdowns promptly and coordinating repairs with fleet.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a finance/accounts officer.
• Computer literate and demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft excel.
• Self-motivated, detail oriented and strong organisational skills.
• Good communication skills, be proactive and willing to go the extra mile.
• Must be a team player and be able assist team members as and when required.
• A valid group 2 driving license is desirable.

Remuneration:

Competitive market-based remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
