1. Financial Accounting & Reporting
· Prepare and maintain yearly financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
2. Accounts Payable
· Process payments- chqs, TT’s and staff reimbursements.
· Maintain proper documentation for all transactions and ensure timely payment of bills.
· Have knowledge of Receivables
3. Payroll Administration
· Prepare and process staff payroll in a timely and accurate manner.
· Calculate and remit FNPF & PAYE
· Maintain up-to-date employee payroll records and staff leave balances.
4. Banking & Reconciliations
· Prepare bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy between company records and bank statements.
· Manage petty cash and maintain proper cash flow tracking.
5. Taxation & Statutory Compliance
· Ensure compliance with all Fiji Revenue & Customs Service (FRCS) requirements, including monthly filing of VAT, PAYE, Provisional Tax and Fringe Benefits-quarterly.
· Lodgments of Directors Personal Income Tax
· FNU & FNPF Compliance/FRCS Tax Compliance
· Liaise with external auditors/accountants, tax agents, and government authorities as required.
6. Audit & Internal Controls
· Prepare documentation and schedules required for annual audits.
· Support external auditors and ensure audit recommendations are implemented.
· Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies.
· Provide financial insights and advice to management when required.
· Maintain organized financial records and archives.
· Support the management team with any other finance-related tasks or projects.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
· Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
· Proficiency in accounting software (MYOB highly preferred) and knowledge of Microsoft Office Programmes
· Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and high professional integrity.
· Be a team player and have eye for details.
Remuneration: Negotiable, based on qualifications and experience.
