Reporting to the General Manager Finance & Administration, this role is responsible for the preparation, development and analysis of management accounting information and provision of a high quality support service to business. The incumbent will also be responsible for assisting in the development of annual work plans and pipeline budgets, reviewing budgets and financial reports for accuracy, and other financial requests as needed. Role Responsibilities: Primary focus of data integrity of Management Information System (MIS) through interrogation, reconciliation and in-depth analysis of key cost accounts. Establish a thorough understanding of the current MIS to support the operations process and facilitate the management of the data. To ensure timely and accurate reporting, prepare commentary on variances to current forecast, highlighting issues which may require escalation by the Business. Ensure that any adverse variance is immediately identified, addressed and or corrective action is recommended to management and monitoring outcome. Ensure being compliant with HFC Bank’s policies and procedures and regulatory compliance at all times. Maintain accurate records. Assist in Financial Reporting which includes End of Month Reporting, reviewing all month end journals preparation of Profit and Loss Statement and Balance Sheet. Monitor trail balance on a daily balance, report and investigate any irregularities. Provide finance support to the business units, including financial analysis and forecasting, develop and maintain financial models, and create and/or deliver financial presentations. Producing Business Unit monthly performance reports and ensuring the continuing development of management and financial reporting. Work with other business analysts and other business units to develop realistic solutions to business requirements, taking into account budgets, timescales and costs. Ensuring financial integrity of the internal and statutory accounts. Production of detailed margin analysis and profitability reporting. Work closely with stakeholders to develop, write and implement robust reporting best practices for the organisation. Using their judgement in advising budget holders on managing their budget which may impact on delivery of that departments objectives. Assist in Management Reporting including monthly Flash Report and ALCO Report. Develop and maintain contacts with all stakeholders involved to ensure that the best possible information is gathered to provide efficient service to management and staff. Ensure all compliance and regulatory reporting activities are completed in an accurate and timely manner. Professional Abilities & Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in financial management, business administration, accounting, economics, or related field. Attained or studying for a professional accounting qualification. A minimum of 3 years’ banking experience with specific experience in Financial Analysis & Assurance is desirable. Will need to demonstrate that they can apply theoretical and analytical knowledge on relevant aspects of financial analysis into practice. Report writing skills. Advanced IT skills (especially in Excel). Proficient in financial analysis, including modeling skills, various valuation techniques. Strong communication and interpersonal skills and team oriented. Dedication to going the extra mile, self-motivated, adaptable and patient. Excellent time management and proactive problem solving.
