Kauwai Youth Restoration Service (KYRS) is a residential service which provides a safe, nurturing environment for boys experiencing homelessness, without parental care or with a history or risk of substance abuse.
To provide structured, relationship-based mentoring and tutoring through life skills development and educational support. The role combines academic assistance with practical and physical life skills development.
Job role will include:
Life Skills education and development
Programme activities focused on developing life-skills
creating a care and support environment
Building confidence and discipline in the boys as their life skills develop
Skills/qualifications required
Experience in supervising and working with youth at risk
Experience in different life skills and self-sustainability development
Be a Team player
A good communicator
Have a driver's license
Have some experience in tutoring but not essential...
