The University of Fiji seeks an innovative and dynamic Lab Technician to join the Umanand Prasad School of Medicine and Health Sciences (UPSM & HS) at the Saweni Campus. The successful candidate shall be responsible to the Dean of Umanand Prasad School of Medicine and Health Sciences, through the Head of the Department.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct technical support to learning teaching of medical science-based subjects by ensuring all laboratory activities are carried out in accordance to School policies and practices.
Ensure that the laboratory is cleaned /sanitized and kept in an orderly manner and has a thorough knowledge on infection control.
Responsible for hazardous/corrosive chemicals, specimen (biological and non-biological), laboratory equipment, instruments, manikins, models and glassware.
Ensure all instrumentations/equipment is functioning properly.
