The Opportunity The appointee will support the effective delivery, administration and continuous improvement of the Solar Energy programme. Responsibilities will include assisting with the planning and delivery of assigned courses, marking and moderating assessments, compiling results, maintaining marksheets, uploading learning materials to Moodle, maintaining academic records, and ensuring compliance with relevant quality requirements. The appointee will work closely with the Coordinator, Solar Energy, to ensure courses are delivered effectively and according to the semester schedule. The appointee will also liaise with industry partners to facilitate students’ Workplace Attachment (WA) placements and strengthen industry engagement. The Opportunity The appointee will be responsible for the management of all the Engineering Laboratories under the Discipline of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering. The person will be required to train Laboratory Technicians, support school staff, and supervise the day-to-day organization and running of the Electrical and Electronics laboratories. The person will be required to coordinate and setup practical classes for undergraduate students, provide technical assistance to postgraduate students and maintenance of EE equipment. The appointee will also be required to assist academic staff on technical matters and assist in research work and consultancy. He/She will also be required to monitor and maintain the laboratory OHS standards. He/she should be highly experienced with all laboratory procedures in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering.
